CluBE had the opportunity to attend the SEED Conference held in the city of Valencia. This conference brought together experts, educators, and researchers from around the world to discuss and explore the future of sustainable energy education. One of the highlights for us was the chance to present our innovative project, TEAMIT+, during a collaborative workshop.
Presenting TEAMIT+
During the workshop, TEAMIT+ served as our tool to facilitate discussions on integrating sustainability and entrepreneurship into education. This project aims to bridge the gap between traditional education and the pressing need for sustainable practices and entrepreneurial thinking in today’s more and more changing world.
Interactive Discussions and Valuable Insights
The workshop fostered interactive discussions about two distinct educational approaches. Participants engaged in dynamic exchanges, sharing their experiences and perspectives on what kind of problems their regions are facing and how best can sustainability and entrepreneurship be combined in order to solve them. These discussions were not only enriching but also provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities within this field. The second approach was about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ms Lenny van Onselen, a researcher at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, presented the SDG-House approach, a curriculum design framework to integrate SDGs into education.
The SDG’s and entrepreneurial skills are relevant perspectives to make education more sustainable. Entrepreneurship plays an important role in promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by contributing to various aspects of sustainable development. Entrepreneurship has the potential to reduce poverty, stimulate economic growth, boost innovation, enhance social and environmental sustainability, and promote social equality and inclusion.
Communicating with the Research Community
Presenting TEAMIT+ at this conference was a significant step in communicating our project to the wider research community. The workshop offered an excellent platform to highlight the potential of TEAMIT+ and its role in shaping a more sustainable and innovative educational landscape. The feedback and input we received were invaluable, helping us refine our approach and broaden our impact.
Future Perspectives
Our experience at the Conference on Sustainable Energy Education in Valencia has been rewarding. We are excited about the future possibilities that have emerged from these discussions and are committed to continuing our efforts in promoting sustainable and entrepreneurial education. We look forward to sharing more updates on our journey and the ongoing development of TEAMIT+.
